2026 Louisiana Redfish Tournament Series

Waiver, Release of Liability & Indemnification

READ CAREFULLY — THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT

In consideration of participation in the Louisiana Redfish Tournament Series (“Tournament”), I agree as follows:

1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand that participation involves inherent risks including, but not limited to: boating accidents, collisions, capsizing, drowning, slips and falls, weather exposure, equipment failure, and the actions or negligence of others. I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, including those arising from the ordinary negligence of the Tournament and its representatives.

2. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I release and discharge the Louisiana Redfish Tournament Series, its directors, officers, volunteers, sponsors, and agents (“Released Parties”) from any liability for injury, death, or property damage arising from participation, including claims based on ordinary negligence.

3. INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from my participation.

4. CAPTAIN RESPONSIBILITY

Each vessel’s captain/operator is solely responsible for safe operation of the vessel, compliance with all laws, and the safety of all passengers.

5. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

I am responsible for ensuring my vessel complies with all required safety equipment regulations, including life jackets and emergency equipment.

6. ALCOHOL / SUBSTANCE USE

I accept full responsibility for my actions while under the influence of alcohol or any substance and release the Tournament from any related liability.

7. NO INSURANCE PROVIDED / REQUIRED COVERAGE

The Tournament does not provide insurance coverage for participants, vessels, or equipment.

Participants acknowledge that Tournament rules require each vessel to maintain a minimum of $100,000 in liability insurance, and participants are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining such coverage.

The Tournament does not verify or guarantee the existence or adequacy of any participant’s insurance coverage.

☐ I certify that my vessel carries a minimum of $100,000 liability insurance as required by Tournament rules.

9. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana.

10. SEVERABILITY

If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I have read and understand this Agreement and voluntarily agree to its terms.
